World Cup,June 11 2010,Uruguay versus France

Uruguay versus France

If one team can beat France in the group stage this will definitely be Uruguay. They will have a great opportunity to startle the 1998 World Cup champions before they start warming up in the tournament, and leave victorious on their way to the second round. France has not been playing great lately, in fact the team has been pretty terrible. Everybody dislikes the manager Raymond Domenech and the 2010 World Cup almost seems inevitable for the team to make a bad run so things can start to finally change. Even all time French top goal scorer Thierry Henry has been on a dry run lately, with the French coach rushing to bring bad boy Djibril Cissé to the rescue. If France gets the 3 points in this very first game – combined with an above average performance, they will be unstoppable for the rest of the Group A matches full of confidence. Uruguay is a young team looking to relive their glorious history, and they have a chance to take advantage of France’s problems to leave victorious.
Based on the history and previous records, the two football teams seem even on a first glance. Uruguay was won the World Cup twice in 1930 and 1950, France more recently in 1998. Uruguay has participated in 11 out of 19 tournaments, whereas the French have 13 appearances. In the last few years France was the better team but now they are struggling, on the other hand Uruguay is an upcoming power looking to make a good run in South Africa and the conditions seem perfect to start at this particular match up. Bookmakers are paying an average of 3.80 in case Uruguay wins the game, so some good money can be made. Even if you lose this bet and France wins, you can easily make your money back by betting on them grabbing the first place in Group A because this is what will happen after beating South Africa for a total of minimum 6 points.
